Rottweiler, a.k.a. Rottie or Rott, is a medium to large sized dog that originated in Rottweil, Germany and was mainly used for cattle herding. The Rottweiler is one of the top 10 smartest dogs, and has the strongest bite out of all domestic dogs. The average male weighs 110lbs and the average female weighs 93lbs. (Some of us are above average)

Cinderley
Cinderley is my first Rottweiler. I got her as a puppy in March of 2006. She is my pride and joy, and my princess. She is very affectionate and loves attention. She is more of a people-person than a watch dog.

Thor
We adopted Thor in January of 2009 when he was about 10 months old. I found him on a craigslist ad, his "foster parents" were trying to re-home him. As the story goes, Thor was in a shelter as a puppy and was rescued by an employee of the shelter, Tina. Tina fostered him until she found him a permanent home a few weeks later. Thor went to live with a gal, Jessica, for about 6 months. Then Jessica's housing fell-through and couldn't keep Thor. Thor then went back to be fostered by Tina, who then posted the craiglist ad. In Thor's previous life his name was Bruno.

Squishy
Squishy is the offspring of Cinderley and Thor. He was one of twelve pups which were born March 31st, 2009. Before the litter was born I decided I would name the biggest fattest puppy "Squishy", no doubt about it, there was a big fat puppy to bequeath the name to. During the course of 8 weeks squishy's size began to intrigued us, he was always obviously bigger than the rest of the puppies, begin at week one. So we felt it necessary to keep him to see just how big he would get. At 8 months old he weighed 112 pounds. I find Squishy the most enjoyable to pet because, at this time, he still has his puppy hair, his skin is loose and you can make his whole body jiggle. He is the most laid-back, happy-go-lucky dog I've had. I'd like to get him involved in weight pulling and possible getting him certified as a therapy dog so we can visit people in hospitals.
